WHY READ THIS BOOK?
Because the question: Does God exist? -- is the most vital choice in life that you must get right. The consequences of a wrong decision will be hellish. Only a fool allows friends, teachers, current culture, or simple laziness to make the decision for him. So if you’ve been foolish in the past and have ignored the God question, correct that mistake now!

This book’s primary purpose is to simplify and clarify questions about God’s existence by collecting and analyzing in one book all the major evidence and arguments, for and against God. A secondary purpose is to acquaint laypersons regarding basic principles of those sciences most closely associated with the question of God, and to thereby strengthen the convictions of uninformed, weak believers.

Do you feel content with what you learned in Sunday school? Sorry but you only had a kindergarten education in God. You probably couldn’t begin to defend your beliefs in a debate with a knowledgeable atheist. But you think faith is all that’s needed? Not true. Anyone who bases religion strictly on faith is being naive and simplistic. Reason must be the foundation for solid belief in, and defense of, God. Knowledge and confidence gained through reason will lead to faith in God, and faith will justify acceptance of religious mysteries no one understands.

No subject is more important, controversial, divisive, feared, avoided and misunderstood than God. Few religious leaders, believers and non-believers understand the subject well enough to sensibly debate it -- but many think they do. Most have strong opinions but they usually offer only sweet-sounding words or bluster, weak evidence and unpersuasive arguments. Usually the rare debates quickly degenerate into wild generalizations, name-calling and personal insults. Perhaps this book may produce a bit of cool, rational thought about an otherwise incendiary subject.

Pervasive, direct and indirect, anti-God propaganda plus a secular-based modern culture have brain-washed most people into believing the God idea is incredible, that it has been disproved by science, and therefore to even consider the question is a waste of time that would be better spent watching mindless TV sit-coms. And most people unfortunately swallow that lie.

Religion is dead in most of Europe and is slowly being crushed in the US, especially among our youth. God haters will not debate the subject; they sneer that debate or even the presentation of such a “stupid” concept as God is asinine, and imply that belief in God is irrational and anti-science. They have an easy time convincing the self-centered, pleasure-obsessed, ignorant, lazy people we have become. Please have the courage and take the initiative to study the God question yourself. This book can be a big help in that task.
